This is my Yaesu Musen model FLdx-400 Amateur Radio Transmitter. It is capable of operating on all standard amateur frequencies between 3.5 and 30 mHz. It can generate CW, AM or SSB signals, with a peak power of 180 watts, and an average power of 120 watts. A fan has been added for extra cooling since Rife/Bare operation is more severe than normal Amateur service. This transmitter has an input connector for use with an external frequency control unit. I am driving the FLdx-400 with the output of my GT-310 computer controlled frequency generator card. The output of the FLdx-400 goes to the Heath amplifier to boost the RF power to as much as 700 watts. |
