Randazzo Rife "Bubble" tube running at 50 watts

Power up!!  This picture, taken with an Infra-Red sensitive TV camera, shows the discharge in the Randazzo "Bubble" tube when connected to my Twisted Transmission Line feed system.  The tube appears quite a bit brighter in the Infra-Red than it does in the visible region of the spectrum.  Here, the tube is shown operating at an RF power of 100 watts peak, 55 watts average, while being modulated at 1000 Hz and gated at a 4 times per second rate.  The VSWR reading is steady at 1.1:1 and did not change noticeably at any frequency below 10,000 Hz.  The bubble is filled with a soft, steady pale blue haze, while the main discharge goes straight across the bubble.  When the power is reduced to about 10 watts, the gas column discharge breaks up into a series of rapidly moving beads, looking much like a string of bright blue pearls, tinged with pink halos.
